June 2022- In collaboration with Taghmees and Boldan, a community oven using adobe blocks was created at MMAG- Amman, Jordan. The adobe blocks were produced in place from the local soil. The project is designed as an experimental study aimed at examining the properties of the local soils and determining their suitability for producing adobe blocks. The research focuses on investigating various mixtures to identify the optimal composition, in addition to observing the behavior of the constructed structure under harsh weather conditions to gain insights into its performance. Through careful analysis of the observed patterns and behaviors, valuable lessons were learnt leading to potential improvements in future designs. this project enhanced our understanding of adobe block production and paved the way for more effective designs in the future.

Following our learning experience in 2022, the oven was rebuilt in the same location, again, with Taghmees and the great Mason Waleed, this time, we experimented constructing the cylindrical base of the oven using stones, binded in the traditional technique, the cylinder is topped with adobe blocks semicircular dome.

Currently, AK Habitat are working with Hakuritna Farm- Airport road, on developing and implementing sustainable farming techniques in addition to deploying natural materials in our daily life usage.
